A Moving Experience

    People cry for various reasons.  Most people cry when they have been hurt, either physically or emotionally.  Some people cry when they are especially happy or when a story or event has deeply moved them .  ETS had a moving experience just recently when we were able to fill a 53 foot tractor trailer with clothing, medical and dental supplies , 3 dental chairs, hospital beds, and medical equipment for Jezreel International Ministries.

 

      “Moving Day” is a special time here at ETS.  It’s the culmination of months of hard labor and   hundreds of volunteer hours . It’s a time of celebration and joy as we watch the items loaded into the truck.  We know these items will bring joy to displaced refugees in Israel or Eastern Europe.  “Moving Day” is also an expression of hope and the love of Christ to people we will never meet and  who can never thank us.

   “Moving Day” doesn’t happen without lots of help.  We are especially thankful for our area Teen Challenge Group for their help, enthusiasm and muscles in loading the truck.  These young men are such a blessing to us and we were moved by their sincere prayers over the trailer’s contents before the door was closed on the load.

    “Moving Day”  doesn’t happen without your prayers, and support.  Without your financial support  we would not be able to put fuel in our vehicles to pick up used clothing and donated medical supplies.  Without your prayers and support we would not be able to donate over 150 thousand dollars  in materials and equipment for this ministry .  Seeing items leave our building headed for overseas ministries moves us emotionally and gives us the desire to continue working knowing  1 Corinthians 15:58 “You know that the hard work you do for the Lord is not pointless.”

                            

                                                    

ETS  PRAYER REQUESTS

· Please pray for a   ministry home for two trucks we have.

· Continue to pray for more pairs of hands to help us do our work. (Staff and volunteers)

· Please pray that we will be able to find a manufacturer for our  vitamin formula who is reasonably priced .

· Please pray for several of our regular volunteers who are healing from recent surgeries.

Bye- bye clothing and medical supplies

Hardly a week goes by at ETS that we do not  receive a shipment of used clothing.  Our suppliers are people who have had a garage sale and bring us the left over clothing, consignment stores that have excess inventory, or clothing from individuals.   We are blessed with volunteers that sort each piece of clothing and  more volunteers who box it up for shipping.  

     We were very pleased to be able to ship out over 1000 boxes of clothing as well as medical relief supplies to Jezreel Ministries in New York.  This is our second shipment to Jezreel this year and we were very glad to have the help of our local Teen Challenge guys to help load the tractor trailer.

     One of the greatest privileges that we have is seeing materials and goods leave ETS for humanitarian relief of brothers and sisters throughout the world.  This shipment will benefit people in Eastern Europe.  We always enjoy praying over the contents and for those that will be  receiving them that they will come to know our Lord and Savior and be encouraged .

     We are saddened by the recent resignation of Earl Wilbers .  Earl has been with the ETS family for over 13 years and was our  primary pick up and delivery person.  Earl helped load this last container and will certainly be missed.  Please keep him in your prayers as he pursues  local employment opportunities .

Teen Challenge Boys

Teen Challenge boys

Teen Challenge was called that morning to see if they could send some guys to

help load the tractor trailer with clothing, shoes, blankets and materials for Jezreel Ministries in New York.

Work began about 11am.  Charlie and Earl swept out the container 3 times before they work could begin.  Teen Challenge sent 4 guys. 

 

All boxes were loaded and then medical equipment was loaded on (crutches, exam tables,  potty chairs, etc.)

The guys prayed over the truck and it’s contents before the door was closed.

Lunch and drinks provided by ETS.  Teen Challenge also given a microwave and      several DVD’s for their service.

Teen Challenge Guys to the Rescue

Who do you call when you need help moving over 1,000 boxes of clothing, shoes, and blankets in the middle of the week ?

We had an over abundance of clothing, all boxed and ready to go out. We knew the weather was supposed to get bad later in the week and wanted to get the clothing out as soon as possible to GAIN (Global Aid Network). The winter clothing will be going to Eastern European countries.

We are so fortunate to have the Shenandoah Valley Teen Challenge guys come help us. They made quick work moving all the boxes into a tractor trailer. It is so nice to have room again in our storage trailers and in the gym.

Thanks guys. We appreciate your muscles, and positive attitudes. Thank you for being a blessing to us and to people you will probably never meet.
What a great organization that gives these young men a second chance.
